painting portraits
These portraits are in oil, guache and acrylic paint. Spring 2020 I started using oil, and by Fall 2023 I started using guache. Many of these portraits are of models from the life painting class I took at College of Marin in the Spring semester of 2020. For most of the other portraits, I use reference photos of a person that has an emotion expressed on their face that catches my eye, or of a person whose face interests me. Iām trying to move into an impressionistic style and focus on shapes of color instead of realism.
